Park City

We love to go to Park City in the summer to get out of the heat. It is so beautiful there.  We were there July 31- August 13.  We stayed at a beautiful Hilton resort.

We thoroughly enjoyed attending church in the Park City 1st Ward both Sundays.  It is a ward full of celebreties: Emeritus general authorities and Nadine Wimmer of KSL news.
That afternoon, we had a zoom call with Hinton siblings.  We meet with them once a month on a Sunday afternoon.
We ate out at delicious restaurants.

Taking us back to our Japan days.
After attending the Draper temple, we ate at Buca di Beppo.

Even the leftovers were good, adding squash and tomatoes from our garden, which we brought with us.
After another temple visit, we ate at Beto's.  It was delicious and the restaurant was exceptionally clean. We both love Mexican food.

This place had good gyro sandwiches and I had fish tacos.

Probably our favorite dinner was at this Chinese restaurant.  We shared Honey-glazed Walnut Shrimp and Mongolian Beef.
Word to the wise: order the small hamburgers and share a small fry!

Their "regular" hamburgers were HUGE!

With our St. George temple closed, we love to visit temples in northern Utah.  All of the ones we went to were within two minutes drive of each other.  It takes about 45 minutes from our resort to get to each one.

Oquirrh Mountain
By pure accident or divine intervention, we discovered this park near the Bountiful temple.  It was named after Ken's great, great grandpa.  I will tell about it in tomorrow's post.
Michelle and Gabbi were at girls camp the first week we were there.  We drove down and tended the boys one day while they were gone.  It was such a delightful day.  How we love the Prince boys.

These kids are all readers.

Grandpa and Fred napping together.

It was Nathan's birthday, so we had a fun chat with him.

William is barely five but reads really well. After I read him several books, he said, "Now I'll read to you."
He read me several books.  He had some reading test and in some areas of reading is on a 3rd grade level.  Little smartie pants!

We went to the pool at our resort every day that we could.  We loved that.  It truly was the highlight of our day.

A poolside visitor

We both read a lot.

On Sunday evening, we drove down to attend William's fifth birthday party.  It was so fun to be there.  I will post about it separately.

We took Ken's bike, and he had some nice bike rides in the mountains.
Ken also went hiking most mornings and took lots of pictures of the scenery and beauties.

I actually took these pictures.  We were up on the mountain.  One morning the clouds filled the valley, but we were above them.  It was so cool.

On the way home, we stopped and had a delightful visit with Patty and Hal in Elk Ridge. Patty served a delicious lunch and we visited for about four hours.  It was so nice to reconnect with them.

It was a wonderful two weeks together!
