Happy 4th of July!

 Ken and I enjoyed a nice 4th of July together the day after getting home from our family reunion.

We barbecued cheeseburgers with all the trimmings, made potato salad, baked beans, and strawberries.  All favorites!

Once it got dark, we had fireworks going off everywhere around us.  Never, since we've lived here, have we seen and heard so many fireworks.  Neighborhoods all around us were setting off beautiful displays.  It sounded like a war zone.  Pictures never do them justice, but here are a few of what we saw as we sat in our lawn chairs.  We started in the front yard, then moved to the back.  It was really something!

We are so very grateful for our country and the freedom and peace we enjoy!
