William's Fifth Birthday

It just works out that we get to celebrate William's birthday with him each year.  Again, we were in Park City when they were having the Prince family celebration for his birthday on Sunday, August 7th.  We drove down from Park City to celebrate with him.

This precious child brings us so much joy.

There were some excited little boys when we got there.

Michelle had had such a busy week.  She was at girls camp until Friday afternoon.  Their family went hiking in the mountains all day Saturday, then they hosted this big family party on Sunday evening.  Somewhere in there, she made this cute Moana cake as requested by William.

Everyone prepared a delicious feast: barbecued chicken, twice baked potatoes, green salad with all the toppings, creamy girlfriend salad, and Gabbi made her delicious rolls.  Everything was so good.

We love being with the Prince family.  They are all such kind and good people.

Before the present opening downstairs, I went down to see what the kids were doing.  They had me blow up balloons, then had a rousing game of Keepy Uppy.

Let the present opening begin!  Heavy, heavy hang over thy poor head.  What do you wish with a bump on the head?

This little guy has learned to read really well.  He read all of his own cards. "Oh good, another card!" he would say when a present had a card attached.

I love this picture!

Since his favorite question is "Why?" we gave him a why book.

Best quote of the day: "Why did you give me a why book?"

 Yum!

He read several of the pages to grandpa.

The kids had fun with bubbles. Fred loves bubbles.

Goodbye Prince family until next time!

William LOVES science experiments so we also gave him this crystal growing kit.  Michelle sent this picture later after he grew crystals with the kit.
