Kenny is Baptized

We traveled to South Jordan, Utah to attend the baptism of our grandson, Kenny the weekend of November 10th-13th.

We love this precious boy!

The Prince family

Kenny is king for the day.  He's all ready to go.

The baptism program was wonderful.  All of Kenny's cousins sang I Am a Child of God.  I accompanied them.  They sang so well.  It was really touching.

The little guys had fun coloring cards for Kenny during the service.

Cousins ready to go.

Pancake breakfast on Saturday morning

Such handsome cousins

Kristen flew from Denver to be with family.  She brought Sammy with her.  She and we arrived on Thursday evening.  Friday was spent preparing for Saturday's party.

Shonna and kids arrived from Logan on Friday evening.  We met them at Costa Vida where we took everyone out for dinner.  It was fun to all be together.

These three are best of friends.  When I went to visit their table, they were excitedly discussing books they had read.  They often share book ideas, then get us all reading them.

Brian scored the cute table!

The man of honor.

That evening, Gabbi's orchestra had a concert to celebrate Veteran's Day. Gabbi plays the cello.  They were really good.

I was surprised how good this middle school orchestra was.

On Saturday after the baptism, Michelle and Brian had everyone to their home for a lovely lunch of soups, rolls, salad, and brownies.

Brian reading to his niece.
I thought this was such a cute picture of aunt reading to nephew, Daddy reading to daughter, and cousin reading.
Everyone loves Fred:

These boys had such a fun time playing with this car wash.  It made a bit of a mess, but Michelle was a good sport about it.

Baked Potato Bar that evening for dinner.  It was delicious.  We used Shonna's chili from lunch and Michelle's chicken and wild rice soup from lunch as toppings, as well as the things Michelle had planned.  Yum!

Reading is always a big part of our visits with the grandkids.  Bedtime story.  I'll bet that book was read 20 times over the weekend by Grandpa and me.  It was a really cute story.

Gabbi got a book from the library and learned how to make balloon animals.  She was kept constantly busy making fun things for the kids out of balloons.

It is so fun to be together.

Dessert Saturday night

To get extra steps, I clip my fitbit on my grandkids.  They think it is awesome to get steps for Grandma.  This little guy ran and ran around the house.  I was so surprised when I saw he had racked up over 6,000 steps.  Go William!

Another delicious breakfast of eggs, potatoes, and toast.

Hannah and Kenny are such good friends.  I tried to get a picture of her whispering a secret to him.  It was so cute.

Caleb had on this shirt.  They were surprised that Jaron had the same shirt, so he went and put it on.  William has one too, but his was dirty.

Kenny opening our present.  He was pretty happy about the skittles.

Kristen gave him these lovely pictures for his wall.

Everyone got pretty worn out.

Games were going constantly

The Thankful Turkey.  I added antibiotics as something I am thankful for.  Little did I know how important those would be in the next week.  That, my friends, is foreshadowing!

This car ramp toy was a huge hit with the kids.  Having to put it away for meals was painful.

All set up for the party in the basement.  Michelle and Brian have such a great space for hosting parties.  Michelle had decorated so nicely.

Gabbi all worn out.

I am sad.  I have tried to add videos to my posts and lately they just won't work.  I have reported the problem to Blogger and found that others have reported the same problem.  Hopefully they will fix the problem.  This is the cutest video of William chording and singing on the piano.

Anyway, we left on Sunday after church and lunch.  Kristen flew out soon thereafter.  It was such a wonderful, perfect weekend.
