Ken's Back Surgery

A little over a year ago, Ken had knee replacement surgery on his left knee.  Shortly thereafter, he developed sciatica pain in his left hip and thigh.  It caused him great pain, especially when he had to stand.  He went to many doctors, had nerve tests, did physical therapy, and took medications, but nothing really helped.  He couldn't golf anymore.  He still was able to go on his four-mile daily walks and ride his bike, but not without pain.  After a year of pain, he decided to try his last option- surgery.  He underwent back surgery on October 24th.

Waiting to be taken to surgery
The jury is still out on whether the surgery has helped.  He has recovered well, but still has pain.  In his post-op appointment, the Dr. assured him that nerves take time to heal, so not to give up hope.  Prayers are appreciated!

Get well flowers from my wonderful siblings.
