Saint John, New Brunswick

On Friday, October 14th we docked in Saint John, New Brunswick. It was the last stop on our cruise.

Beautiful, Old Churches are my favorite.

Brunswick Square Shopping Center

Cathedral of the Immaculate Conception

The beautiful, colorful market

A gorgeous park across from the market.

Ken hiked across town & up into the hills above St. John's downtown, to Rockwood Park. It is a large, forested area with many trails. This picture is near the park's entrance. All of the subsequent pictures are from his 2-3 hour walk-about in that park.

Beautiful leaves. As you will see, the Autumn colors were abundant and resplendent.

Ken hiked several miles on this trail despite his painful leg. Ken had never heard of this trail before. We assume it is Canada's extension of the Appalachian Trail.

While Ken hiked, I shopped at what they called the container mall.  Set up right on the pier were several shipping containers that they had turned into little stores, full of souvenirs and treasures. There also were several turned into food booths.  It was fun to walk through each of them.  I purchased a few things, then, again, used the Internet at the port.

It was a cloudy, but still very pleasant day.  We had such good weather throughout our trip.  We were really blessed.
