Beautiful Vermont

We had a lovely week in Vermont.  Though the leaf color peak was probably just a day or two after we left Vermont, we saw some beautiful color as well as other beautiful scenery.  Following are some pictures of the beauties.

We stayed in a very nice resort called Smugglers' Notch.

I love this beautiful picture that Ken took.

This was the view off our back balcony at the resort.  Though it was a bit chilly, Ken spent a lot of time out there.

We thought this cabin was funny with the bears climbing on it.

These apples were growing at the Von Trapp Family Lodge.  Ken enquired about them, and the manager let us take a couple.  They were absolutely delicious.  Ken researched and found they were called empire apples.  If you ever see them, give them a try.  They are a deep red- almost purple.

The hillsides were alive with color, but the pictures just didn't capture it very well.

Roots of a tree growing out of rock.

Sunset over the pool at our resort.

A beautiful waterfall.

The fog one morning was beautiful on the mountains.

I love that they put pumpkins everywhere among their landscaping.

Vermont's beauties filled our souls with joy and gratitude!
