Christmas with the Prince Family

We arrived at the Prince home late morning on Christmas eve.  Our plan was to spend a few hours with them before heading home.  The Princes' alternate every other year spending Christmas with Hintons and Princes.  This year was the Princes' year.  Brian's family are so kind and gracious and invited us to celebrate with them, but we decided we didn't want to crash their party.  All of Brian's siblings came for Christmas, so it became a family reunion for them.  Their entire family was there.  We had a little Christmas with them midday on Christmas Eve, then headed for home to spend a quiet Christmas with each other.

The Prince family:  Brian, Gabbi, Kenny, Jaron, Michelle, and William

As always, their home was spotless and beautifully decorated.

How we love these kids

What's that, Grandma?

It is just automatic when we come that William climbs up to their bookshelf that Michelle keeps stocked with seasonal books and brings one down for me to read.  Then another . . . then another.

After a delicious lunch of soup, fruit, and homemade biscuits, Ken, Jaron, and Kenny played HORSE downstairs.  Kenny was the winner!!
We then had a little Christmas downstairs by the tree where we exchanged gifts.

William was so excited to receive a box of dinosaurs and a mat on which to play with them.

This is Kenny playing with them later (Michelle sent it later) while his brother napped.

We got Kenny and Jaron collapsible light-up sabers.

William was thrilled with his bunny named Fluffy or Willie- not sure yet.

Kenny got a remote-control car

Michelle sent this little video on Christmas day of Jaron on their new hover board from Santa, wearing the shirt we gave him.  This shirt is perfect for Jaron.  He LOVES basketball.

Gabbi got lip gloss, erasable pens and a BYU shirt which she said is perfect for annoying Uncle Matthew (an avid Utes fan.)

Brian got a bike repair kit and a shirt.
I neglected to take a picture, but Michelle got a sweater and a nut chopper like mine.  Her dad also had all of her videos of her dancing days digitized for her onto DVDs.
The family got a bike rack that Brian put together a few days later.

Sword fights.  Michelle quipped, "Who needs a sword when you have a bunny?"  Looks like the bunny is the winner as he has Kenny backed into a corner.
,

It was such a fun few hours with the Prince family.

We love you!  Merry Christmas!!!

Thank you for fitting us into your Christmas plans!🥰 It was SO wonderful having you here! I LOVE my sweater and nut chopper! We have been putting walnuts on our waffles and pancakes consistently since Christmas. It is so nice to have a chopper again! Way better than trying to do it with a knife and having bits of nuts fly all over the kitchen.😅😂
