Boarding the Emerald Princess

 Monday morning, May 9th found us packing up and waiting and waiting for our delayed shuttle bus back to Southampton to board our ship, the Emerald Princess, to tour the British Isles.

When we finally got to the ship, our first order of business was to get tested for COVID- a requirement for all passengers.  We were directed to the side of the cruise port where huge white tents were set up to do the testing.  We were tested, then sent to wait in a holding room inside the terminal for the results.  We were grateful all four of us tested negative.

We were then allowed to board the ship and start our British Isle Cruise.  It was a very nice cruise, but intense as we were in a different port every day but two.  It was wonderful to see this part of our beautiful world.  Every morning at 8:00 am there will be another post, so stay tuned!
