Brielle's Graduation

We flew to Denver on May 14th to attend Brielle's graduation from high school that evening.

Here are some of her beautiful senior pictures:

I love this one as Brielle is such a book worm and math nerd!  Absolute fun for her: AP Calculus!

Brielle graduates with honors and a letter in CNA, theater, academics, and choir.  She participated in the rigorous 12KSTEM program and excelled in the theater department.  Brielle plans to attend BYU in the fall (on a full tuition scholarship) and pursue a degree in nursing.

Brielle also scored a perfect score on the ACT.

And, she did all of that with severe health issues.  Shameless Grandma brag . . but we are so proud of this girl.

She attended the HUGE Legacy high school.

Brielle sang in the choir at her graduation ceremony.

They had the students who had lettered in different areas stand.  She was popping up and down.  You can see her on the front row.  I kept snapping pictures.

Earlier that day- while we were flying to Denver- little Samuel ran into a metal pole on the playground while playing tag.  The school called and Kristen and Brielle dropped everything and rushed to take him to the ER for stitches.

It was most traumatic.  

At least they gave him a matching popsicle.

It gave Brielle a chance to use her CNA degree.  Brielle loves to be in an ER (she did it on her rotation) where lots is happening.  She is SO good with her younger siblings when they get hurt.  She will be an awesome nurse.

Little Samuel was a rock star at school after this incident.  His class all wrote him get well cards and parents were texting Kristen all day enquiring about him.  

It was a short, but very sweet visit to the Mackrorys in Colorado.
