Fire in the Hole!

Several weeks ago, I put a loaf of bread in our oven to bake.  Ken and I went in the bedroom to fold clothes.  Soon we smelled a burning smell and ran in the kitchen to find smoke pouring from the oven and soon the smoke alarm was screaming. The bread was burned on the outside and raw in the middle.  Obviously, the oven malfunctioned. Ken found in the owner's manual how to reset it.  It worked for a while, but a few weeks later, I was baking a cake and saw strange lights inside the oven.  I opened it so see flames coming out of the vents in the oven.  I quickly turned it off.

We had a repairman come .  He said the computer controller board was out, causing a short.  He later called, quoting over $800 to get the parts to fix it.  He suggested we buy a new one.  We immediately went out range and oven shopping.  We chose one at Lowe's, purchased it, and it was delivered a few days later.  We wanted another white one, but that is not available any longer.

It is beautiful and seems to be functioning well.
