Saturday, July 1st Hinton Family Reunion

Everyone arrived on Saturday to start the reunion.  We could check into the house at 3:00.  We had stayed at Michelle and Brian's the night before in South Jordan. Caleb had been at his cousin's house in Riverton all week, so we picked him up there to bring him with us to Logan.
Our plan was to take him out to Maddox in Brigham City for lunch on the way to Logan, but it was Saturday and the place was packed.  So we drove onto Logan and took him to Noodles and Co.  We wanted some one- on- two time with this fine boy whom we love so very much.

Shonna and Blake were just finishing up a huge remodel of their home.  They took out a wall and put in all new flooring. They did new baseboards, moldings, and repainted the upstairs. We helped as best we could. They had been living in chaos for a few weeks.  I don't know how they planned a reunion as well. Ken raked the new carpet in the bedrooms, I helped clean paint spots on the new floor and helped Shonna cook for their special diets for the week. The kids all had jobs and were working on them.

The remodel makes their home feel so much more open and bigger.

We checked into the big house in North Logan that we were renting.  It was perfect for a family reunion.  There was big game room that was well-used.

Everyone was so glad to be together.

Shonna and I had prepared the grocery lists.  She went to Sam's Club while Ken and I went to Walmart to pick up the massive amount of groceries needed.
Michelle and Brian prepared a nice barbecue meal that evening.

Upstairs was an amazing toy room with all kinds of fun toys.

The bunk room was a fun place to sleep.

Gabbi was assigned to teach the first devotional that evening.  She did a great job.  The older kids did the devotionals each day.  They all did a great job.

Brielle was sad to find that her younger cousin has passed her in height.  It happens.

The back patio and yard were huge.

Saturday was a day of rejoicing at being together again!
