July 17 Trondheim, Norway

On July 17th we docked in Trondheim, Norway.

I went out shopping near the pier and met up with Pam and Patty.  My foot was sore, so I didn't feel I could walk to the cathedral, where many of our group were going.

Ken, Tom, Joan, John, and Cindy walked up to the cathedral and did some sightseeing around town.

Seagulls on our deck rail.

There was some kind of festival or fair.  Cindy bought a beautiful necklace at the flea market.

The cold that plagued all of us was bad this day for Ken.  Ken needed to find some cough syrup.  But he forgot to bring his wallet.  So he had to walk back to the ship, get his wallet and walk back to a drug store.  That took up the time we were supposed to go out together.  But that's okay.  One of the things we learned on this trip was to appreciate the USA.  You simply couldn't buy over the counter medications for colds and coughs.  We all suffered because of it.  Luckily, Pam and Roger had brought a bunch and shared.  What a blessing!

Beautiful view from above.
