Gwen retires

Yesterday, Ken's office held an open house for retiring Gwen Iverson. Hundreds of people came to thank her for her service and wish her well. Gwen was working for the firm when we came 31 years ago (then called Carter and Kemp.) She has been a faithful, loyal employee all of these years. I can't even imagine the firm without her. She is the only one who has been there longer than Ken, so now he's granddaddy of the firm.
Gwen watched our family grow up. Her favorite story to tell on our family is when Kristen was just a little two-year-old, anticipating Christmas. President Kimball was the prophet then. Her Christmas greeting to Gwen was, "Ho! Ho! Ho! Jesus Kimball!" She got all the good guys in there in one sentence.
Good luck and happy retirement, Gwen! We love you and will miss you!

I remember Gwen! She IS an integral part of Dad's firm! That one-liner from Kristen is hilarious. Did Gwen remember that one, or did you remember it? Too funny.

Love what Kristen said, so cute! I remember her too. Now Dad's the grand-daddy of the firm huh? That's pretty cool.

Wow. It isn't often that companies have someone so dedicated. It WILL be weird to not have her there. How long until Dad gives up his post as granddaddy of the firm?
