Placed in a distrustful, if not hostile Indian village, Elizabeth has an extreme challenge to win over her new fellow villagers. She does so, in a most unexpected way. She even finds the Indian chief of the village taking orders from her. Courage, determination, and love are the themes of this most-satisfying book.
