BYU/UNLV Game and Las Vegas Fun!

Michelle cooked up a great idea:  Because she loves her husband (she does not like sports), she texted a lot of BYU fans/friends in Vegas and bought a bunch of tickets at group rates to the BYU/UNLV game.  We were part of the great group.  So we headed down to Vegas on  the morning of Friday, November 10th.   Michelle and Brian packed up a picnic and we went to Red Rock Canyon recreation area when we arrived.
After lunch, most of the group went on a little hike.  Michelle, William and I stayed and had a good visit.
When we got back to the house, Brett, Bryan, and Travis Hinton were there.  They had come from SLC for the game and were staying with Brian and Michelle that night, too.  We had a nice visit with them. Michelle had a Dr. appointment that afternoon with the podiatrist.  She got the awesome news that she could remove that big boot.  The miracle ultra-sound healing treatments had done the trick.  (She has had some set-backs since then, but it is healing) While she was gone, I made pumpkin cobbler which we ate later to celebrate the Cougar win!   We had Café Rio for dinner, then drove over to the game.  Kenny and William fell asleep on the way, so I stayed in the van with them while the rest of the group attended the fun BYU tailgate party.  The game was so fun . . . and we even won!

Even William loved it- I'm sure!

Our nephew, Jared and his wife, Anepo and their cute daughters. Sonora and Sierra sat right behind us.

Gabbi sat between us and we taught her about football.  She is a smart little cookie and caught on to the whole thing very quickly.  Some of her questions: "Is he the running back?"  "Why does everyone scream before the third down?"  "What are those carrots down there for?"

Jared and Anepo's girls crashed.

It was late and kids were tired, but were so good.
After the game, we met back up with the Hinton boys at the Prince's house and enjoyed pumpkin cobbler while we relived the joy of the game.
The next day, Brian made us a nice breakfast and the Hintons left for SLC.  We got to go to Gabbi's soccer game in the morning and Jaron's soccer game in the afternoon.  Both of them scored a goal!  This was especially exciting for Jaron as it was his first one!

Gabbi's game:
A few action shots

Jaron's game:

Brian is the coach and is so good with those boys.

After the game, we had to go to McDonald's to celebrate those goals!
We left from there to drive home, and this time, we didn't get stopped on the freeway for hours!
Thank you Michelle and Brian for a fun weekend!

You make us all feel like heroes for one reason or another. You do such a great job of documenting everything! Thanks for supporting Gabby and Jaron at their games. They always play better when you are there!
