Elder Price Gets Transferred

This is Elder Price.  He is a character.  Don't get me wrong.  He is also a fine, hard-working missionary.  But, he also has fun and helps others to have fun.  Here he is "modeling" his favorite hair product- hair volumizer.  Because we like to shop at a large store between here and Sakata, sometimes the Elders get dragged along when we're on our way home from Sakata with them in tow.  Elder Price loved it because he would use the free sample of hair volumizer.  He joked that it gave him confidence and made him a better missionary to volumize his hair.
Elder Price was recently transferred from Tsuruoka after serving here for several transfers.  We will miss him.  His sense of humor and philosophies on life kept us laughing.  We get to know these young men pretty well.  I teased him about his "poor wife" a lot.  I told him he has to have her call me before she accepts a ring.  She needs to know that he has to have three boys and he's naming one Brody and one Max.  There's no compromising or negotiating on those names.  She needs to know that his dream car is an astro van.  Well it was until he saw a Japanese car that he fell in love with called Naked (Japanese cars have very strange names.)  He loved the idea of driving Naked everywhere.  He was our district leader and would say, "Sister Hinton will play and I will chorist."  There was no changing his mind about the name of what he was doing.
Actually, I teased him a lot, but I really think his future wife is a lucky lady.  She is guaranteed to laugh the rest of her life.

We say goodbye at the bus stop.

The Satoh family is wonderful about coming to see the missionaries off.  Remi got off work and rushed to the bus stop to say goodbye.  I love this picture of three great people.

Take care, Elder Price.  Be sure to have her call me!  Oh, and be sure to call us when you're made bishop!
