We traveled to Sendai on treacherous roads to attend the Christmas Zone Conference on December 16th. It brought back memories as it was the first conference we attended when we first arrived one year ago. I think we took the bus that time because of fear of the icy roads and snow. We decided to brave it this year.

Oh my goodness, those roads do look treacherous! I am glad that you made the trip safely. I am also proud of Ken for studying and brushing up on his Japanese - I am proud of both of you!
Your snowy roads look very familiar this year. Boise is in the midst of a very snowy December ;(so glad you made it safely to the Conference. Also glad you got to go and be together with all the other missionaries.That Sheep tail picture is hilarious.
