Washington County Utah Temple- July

The church announced a name change for our Washington County Utah temple this month.  It will be called the Red Cliffs Temple.  We think it is a very nice and appropriate name.  Probably because of COVID the groundbreaking ceremony has not been announced yet.  But they are preparing the site, creating a large mound where we assume the temple will be.
On Sunday evening, we drove out to see the temple site and note the progress.  That progress is probably not evident as much in the photos as it was in real life.  We need a drone to really see the dramatic changes.  But there is now a HUGE mound or hill that they have created and packed down, presumably where the temple will sit.  They have also put up a green fence around the entire property.  That part must be complete as the earth moving equipment is no longer at the site.

Because of the many fires surrounding St. George right now, the setting sun appears bright red.
We also checked the progress on the old St. George temple.

They have taken off the previously added on west side of the temple.

The front.
