St. George Temple Closes

We are sad that our beautiful St. George temple closed at the first of November for renovations.  It is estimated that the closure will be about 30 months. We are both so used to hopping in our car, driving 10 minutes and going to the temple.  We are spoiled rotten. We love doing work for our kindred dead.
I went to the temple on Friday, the day before it closed.  I took some not so great selfies to document the sad day.

A couple of days later, I'm sure to cheer us up, the church announced the location of the new  2nd temple in our area.  It is just about five minutes from our house (we live in Bloomington Hills.)  We are so excited.  I wonder which one will be done first??  I wonder which temple district we will be assigned?

In the meantime, we are planning how we will keep attending the temple.
The Cedar City temple is just 45 minutes away.  But it is small- just two instruction rooms.
The Las Vegas temple is about 2 hours away.  It has four large instruction rooms.  Also, Brian and Michelle live there so we can do a temple day, then stay with them overnight.  That is very appealing to us.
We also plan to do a Utah temple tour, visiting all of the temples in Utah.
We also hope to visit other temples as we travel.  It is actually exciting to think of visiting so many other temples.
I'm sure we will gain a great appreciation for what we have had and look forward with eagerness for our temples to open and reopen.

I cried when our temple closed for 2 years. Nice that you aren't too far away from Cedar City or Las Vegas.
