Hinton Sibling Reunion

We were only home from our cruise three days before heading to Phoenix for the Hinton sibling reunion in the Phoenix area.  Don and Ada rode with us and we had a nice time visiting on the way down and back.
Following are some pictures from our three days together.  We shared pictures, so photo credits to several in the group.
Friday, we gathered at Rick and Sherrie's in Gilbert.  Half of the visitors were staying there:  Lorene, Dave and Gerri, and Jim and Leslie.  We and Don and Ada stayed with Clark and Nan in Phoenix.

The twins, Mark and Clark.  Clark and Nan were in charge of the reunion this year.

Jim, Ken, and I.

Gerri (right) is an expert genealogist.  She spent time teaching Sherrie and Kathy how to do it during the reunion.

We went to dinner that evening at Village Inn.  Leslie, Jim, Nan, Clark.

Kathy, Gerri, Sherrie, Rick, Lorene, Ada, Don, Me!, Ken, and Mark

That evening we attended an improvisational theater called Jesters.

At the theater.  This time we got Ada and Don in the picture!  I really like this picture.

Saturday, our activities were in Phoenix at and around Clark and Nan's home.
We did a scavenger hunt around the Statefarm Stadium, home of the Arizon Cardinals..  Nan and Clark live just across from the stadium.  When they built their home twenty years ago, they were out in the country and the stadium did not yet exist.

A statue of Pat Tillman in front of the stadium.  Tillman left his NFL career to serve in the army after 9/11.  He was killed in Afghanistan.  He is greatly honored.

We had many fun, planned activities, but maybe my favorite part was sitting in Nan's kitchen visiting with my sisters-in-law.  They are all wonderful ladies.

One of the activities was a "Who Was It?" game.  We answered questions privately then Clark read the answers and we had to guess who it was.  We learned so much about each other.  Did you Kathy wishes she owned a gun collection?

A beautiful shot of Kathy

This is Ken's oldest brother, Jim- everyone's hero.  His quiet wisdom and disciplined life are exemplary.

I LOVE this picture.  It is SO Rick to teasingly attack his brothers and give them a quick massage.  Rick is the tease of the family.

This is an ancestor bingo game the first day at Rick and Sherrie's

Bingo!  Looks like Ken, Sherrie, and David all got Bingo!

We all shared reunion ideas that first morning.  We were supposed to share one idea.  We came home with a folder of the best ideas to use with our own children at our reunions.

I honestly have no idea what we were doing in these two pictures.  I'm old and my memory fadeth!

Me with my trusty fan.  I am always hot.
It was such a fun reunion.  We were missing Mark, Lorene's husband as his health didn't allow him to attend, but despite surgeries, injuries, illnesses, treatments, and jury duty (Ken was called up the week of the reunion, but luckily was released) almost all of us were able to attend.
