The Hazing of Jen Pusey

Sounds like a great book title, doesn't it? We didn't mean for there to be a hazing, I promise.  And I feel terrible about it.
Our Keynote group has our concert tonight in the tabernacle at 7:00pm.  In preparation for that, those in charge always want a picture of us for publicity.  So we were all told to wear our outfits to rehearsal on November 14th.  But the one who was supposed to send a reminder text forgot.  So some of us brought our shirts to change into, but only our newest member, Jen who joined us just this season came in just a bit late in her white shirt and red scarf.  "What is this?  Is this the hazing for the new girl?" she asked.  We laughed about it, but so many had forgotten, including Jennett who was supposed to bring her husband to take the pictures, that we had to forget it that day.
So, the next week, Debbie sent out a text saying they had decided to try again the next day, so please wear your shirts and scarves.  So everyone showed up in their shirts and scarves . . . except Jen who didn't get the text.  Because she is new, she wasn't on Debbie's text list.  So in she walks  in a black shirt.  We all felt terrible.  So there is Jen in her black shirt . . . properly hazed into Keynotes.  She was gracious about it, but I'm sure felt bad.  We all did.  But come to the concert tonight.  She will be in uniform, I promise.  And you can hear her beautiful voice as she has a few little solos.  She has added so much to our group, as she is very talented.  Welcome Jen!!!

Poor Jen Pusey, but I can't think of a group less likely to haze someone. ;)

Twelve lovely ladies no matter what you wear! I want to hear you perform again! I love listening to the CD’s that you gave me - your group blends so well and sounds so professional!
