Soaking Up all the Time We Can With the Prince Family and Kristen Comes for a Last Hurrah!

We're spending as much time as we can with family before leaving.  We are grateful they are able/willing to spend so much time with us.  A couple of weekends ago, the Prince's came for a visit.  Brian ran the Snow Canyon half marathon.  We are so proud of him.  He came in at 1:55.

I love this picture of Ken reading to our Gabby.
Then last weekend, Kristen came from Wisconsin for a last hurrah.  It was heaven having her for a couple of days.  She helped us clean out our store room and pantry.  She and her dad went on a walk each morning, and we had a great time visiting and watched a movie.  We went to lunch at Sakura (Kristen also served a mission in Japan- so Japanese food is her favorite) and dinner at her favorite Pasta Factory.  We crammed a lot in the day she was here!

Lunch at Sakura

We made this delicious pineapple ice cream twice while she was here.  For the recipe, click here.
On Saturday morning, we all went to Vegas to watch Jaron play his soccer game.  It was so fun.  He looked so cute in his uniform.  Brian is the "Stinky Cheese" team coach.

It was a beautiful day in Vegas.  They had a fun playground near the soccer fields.

Brian is the perfect coach for these little ones. He is patient and really tries to teach them skills.

Which way is our goal? Good information to have!

In the afternoon we played games. Aunt Kristen and Gabby played a rousing game of twister.

After all the grown-ups wore out on playing Uno, Gabby enlisted Olaf to play.

We took pictures as we were leaving.  We look happy in these pictures, but we were actually really sad as we were about to say goodbye to our Luli for 1 1/2 years.  I tried to hold it together while there, but pretty much lost it when we got in the car.

How we love our precious family and will miss them terribly.

You have such a wonderful family. So glad you've been able to spend some quality time together. I can't imagine how hard it is saying good bye, but what amazing parent examples they have. You will have eternal influence and impact on your children, grandchildren, great grandchildren....sister...
