Sprinkler Problems

Sixty-nine years old is too old for ditch digging.  But he did it.  Our back sprinkler had a problem, so Ken called our new friend who does sprinkler repair.  The wire that goes from the inside control box out to the sprinkler had gone bad.  Trent said he would dig the ditch and bury the wire, but it would be expensive.  Those are motivational words for Ken, so he said he would do it himself.  So the next morning he started digging the 65 foot trench.  It was hard work as there were many tree roots that had to be chopped along the way. It took him three hours to complete the project.  He then called Trent back to have him come set it up.  Ken was exhausted and so sore.  It was on a Tuesday and Tuesday evening at 5:00 was Elders quorum presidency meeting with many visits afterward.  Most of those visits were to people who aren't members of our church, or who don't actively participate, so they were doorstep visits.  After such a hard day, it was hard to stand that long. He got home about 9:00 very tired, but after a spirit-filled evening of ministering.  He was sore for a few days, but we are glad to have that repair behind us.

These pictures don't show how much work this was.
