Visiting Camerons Again

After getting a cortisone shot in Ken's knee and him finally getting some sleep, we decided we could make our planned trip to Logan.  We had dental cleaning appointments on Friday, May 21st.  We left on Thursday morning, getting there that afternoon.

We felt so lucky that Lily and Hannah's dance recital was Friday night while we were there.

We love being in our familys' homes for Come, Follow Me study.  They each do it a little differently, but they all are teaching their children the gospel and basically having a family home evening every night.  Blake makes lesson plans for the week each Sunday morning.  Each member of the family has one evening during the week that they are the teacher, using his plans. This evening was Lily's turn.

Great job, Lily Kay

All ready for bed on Thursday night.

We are so proud of Caleb.  Two years in a row he has received the Falcon Master award for reading.  He earns it by reading an amazing number of books and taking the tests on them.  Caleb is an avid reader. His nose is ALWAYS in a book. He truly is a Master reader.

Here are his two Falcon Master trophies.

Friday morning, Ken and I went to Blake's beautiful office for dental cleanings.

When we got back to Shonna's after our appointments, we found Gabe painting up a storm.

We took Shonna and Gabe out to lunch at Noodles and Co.

Hannah is a good reader and is willing to sit and read to her brother.
They all read to him and he will sit and listen for as long as someone will read.  He has an amazing attention span for listening to reading.  He even loves to sit and listen to his older siblings read to him in Chinese.  They are all in the Chinese immersion program.  He is picking up  a lot of Chinese.
Lily made a special strawberry, yogurt, graham treat for dinner.

Watching the dance recital was an absolutely joyful experience.  Lily and Hannah take modern dance.  I loved watching these children loving expressing themselves in dance on the stage.  It was pure joy!

Hugs from Dad.

Sweet little dancer

The boys are used to rough and tumble with Grandpa.  This time they had to be a little more careful because of his knee.

Blake has really adopted the hobby of photography and is really good.  He was so excited to receive a new lens he had ordered while we were there.

On Saturday, we went on a picnic at a park close to their home.

Caleb loved having me come down in the basement and watch him build his Gravi trax maze.  He is one smart kid.  I watched him for a long time and we had such a good talk.  He was good to share with his little brother, too.

Lily made delicious sweet potatoes to go with the veggie burgers we had for dinner.

Where's Grandpa?

I don't know, where did he go?

It's a mystery
We had so much fun playing P- I -G on the back patio.

Lily put on a trampoline show for us.

Another Come, Follow Me lesson- this one taught by Blake.

All ready for church

The kids took turns clipping on my fitbit and getting me steps.  It was great.  They loved it and so did I!

A couple of years ago, we gave the Camerons this National Parks game.  It got them interested in National parks and they have set a goal to see them all.  We had never played it, so Blake and Shonna and Ken and I played while the kids were playing outside.  It was really fun.

Lily has a special friend named Berry (stuffed bear).  She has made a special house for Berry.  She wanted to show us every detail.  She is such a creative little girl.  You can see she is taking her turn now of wearing my Fitbit.

Whenever we come, Lily gets out the lotion and rubs my feet.  What a treat for Grandma!

I love Hannah Rose.

So does Grandpa

We love you, Gabe.
Bye, bye hugs for all of the grandkids.

How I love our Caleb.

Love, love Lily Kay.

Until next time!  We love you Cameron family!!!!!
