Echo

EchoEcho by Pam Muñoz Ryan
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

As the book begins, you think you are reading a fairytale. But it transforms and you realize it is actually four separate stories that resolve and blend together in the end. Each story is told and ends abruptly and unresolved. You come to love the characters and feel their struggles. All of the stories come together in a beautiful and moving ending. This is a beautifully written book, with an object- an harmonica- tying the seemingly unrelated stories together. I highly recommend listening to the audio version. It is so well done.
