Bel Canto

I read the book and wanted to watch the movie.  It was really well done.  The author of the book was one of the producers of the movie, so it stays pretty true to her story.  Guerillas, in a country in south America, enter a home where a party is happening and take all in attendance as hostages.  For months, they live together in the huge home.  As outsiders try to negotiate, relationships develop inside.  Soon, people from both sides bond and become friends.  It is a powerful story focused on humanity, friendship, and even love.

We watched it on Netflix DVD.
