As we walked to church the other day, our singing gardening neighbor greeted us. Ken complimented her lovely garden. Ken had meetings after church, so I walked home alone. I really think she was kind of waiting for me, for as I walked by, she beckoned to me and said something in Japanese. She then picked lovely daffodils from her garden, singing all the while, and handed me a bouquet. I am grateful I know how to say "thank you" graciously with a deep bow.
