Well- written and well-read on the audio version, this historical fiction novel illustrates what life would be like for a person of Chinese descent in San Fransisco in the early 1900s. Mercy is strong and determined and makes a difference. I love how she overcomes all odds and helps others along the way. She is a great role model for young women. I really enjoyed listening to this great book.
