The author’s stated purpose is to help the reader love holiness more, specifically the scriptures, the Sabbath Day, and the temple. It is in story form- one man teaching another by using the scriptures about these things. A lot of it I didn’t relate with, but some of it really made me think and study the scriptures further on my own. I especially liked the chapter about the sacrament prayers, the differences between them, and what that means. Overall, I am glad I read it.
