A Fall of Marigolds by Susan Meissner
My rating: 4 of 5 stars
Two young women who lived a century apart lived similar experiences. One was a nurse working on Ellis Island with immigrants in 1911 and the other a single mother living in Manhattan after losing her husband in the attack on the twin towers. Both women lost their loved one and had to find a way to move on and find love again. A beautiful scarf ties the two women together in an interesting way.
I loved this book. I thought it taught a lot about grief, love, hope, and self-forgiveness. I look forward to discussing it with our family in our virtual online book club.
