Another great book by one of my favorite authors. In an interview played after the end of the book on the audio version, the author said that this was a book about politics. It definitely had politics in it, but to me it was a story about family. I thought it portrayed a mother’s love so beautifully with all three mothers in the story: One literally giving her life for her son that she had only been able to love from afar. It was about sibling love and the love and desires of the father as well. It is a fascinating series of events that brings these people together, creating a family. I really enjoyed this novel. 3+ stars from me.
