This book, written for young adults, tells the true story of children evacuated from London during the blitz. They were sent on a ship headed for Canada when the ship was torpedoed and sunk. A life-saving mistake puts thirteen-year-old Ken Sparks on Lifeboat 12 instead of the one he was assigned. It was one of few that survive. I enjoyed this exciting book. I listened to the audio version.
