Despite having a kidney stone, we decided to make our planned trip to Logan. We left Wednesday afternoon after Keynote rehearsal, arriving that evening. We were delighted that Blake's parents had also come up from Salt Lake City for the day to visit. We had such a nice visit with them. I wish I had taken a picture. They have been teaching English in China through BYU for the last two years. They came home for the two-week Chinese New Year break, and because of the coronavirus cannot return. Their belongings are all still there in their apartment in China, but they can't go back. It was interesting to hear of their experiences. Mark is FULL of energy and has a very adventurous spirit. I told him he is Ken (who also has way too much energy) on steroids. We really like them. So while Blake and Shonna got the kids to bed, we had a nice visit. Then they left to go home to SLC.
We had fun with the kids the next day. Here's Grandpa reading to Gabe and Hannah Rose. These kids love to be read to. They have an insatiable appetite for books.
We had dental appointments and cleaning appointments with Blake at 10. Unfortunately, he found a cavity in on of my teeth and I had to go back on Friday morning to get it filled. I wonder if I am the only person who has had a cavity filled while trying to pass a kidney stone?Shonna bought us delicious mochi ice cream treats, reminiscent of our days in Japan. Honestly, these were way better than what we would buy in Japan!
We left Logan on Friday afternoon in time to get to Remi's own endowment in the Bountiful temple that evening. So it was a short, but very fun visit with the Camerons.
