On Sunday, April 28th, we docked in Aarhus, Denmark. I know; we had never heard of it either. Six couples from the ship attended church with us. And the branch was ready for us. Unlike church in the Azores, here they had translation devices for us. Two young adult members translated sacrament meeting for us and two young sisters translated in Relief Society. The highlight of the services was a vocal solo by a Canadian man living and working there. He sang all the verses of "A Poor Wayfaring Man of Grief" acapella and in English. It was touching and beautiful.

The chapel. Nearly everyone in this branch spoke English, though the services were in Danish, of course. |
After the services, we walked back to the ship. It was quite a long walk, but fun to see the city and take in the sights and sounds.

Open fruit stands were common. |

We walked back with this couple from California. They were very nice people. We enjoyed visiting with them. |

Some statues near the port |

This lady was selling hand-painted silk scarves and jewelry that she had made. It was all beautiful. I purchased a scarf and some earrings. |

As you can see in the panoramic picture above, the upper windows were of different colors. This was the view through the pink window, for example. |

The blossoming trees were beautiful. It was a perfect day. |
Aarhus was a beautiful city, full of beautiful architecture and history.

I love that header pic of you, Kay, with the tulips! What a charming city and how cool that you found a church in walking distance from your ship. It is always a cool experience to attend church in other countries.
