We, a bit spontaneously, drove up to SLC to spend New Year's with the Prince family. Michelle and Brian were still there (they are back here now for a few days) and Cynthia generously invited us. We had a fun New Year's Party. We danced Just Dance on the Wii:
And played games and had LOTS of delicious snacks
Even Baby Jaron stayed up for the festivities
See the clock in the background: What a great way to start the new year- holding a baby!
The midnight kiss (or almost)
Poor Matthew had to kiss Cassie, the dog:
New Year's morning, we had our traditional aebelskivers for breakfast:
After church, we enjoyed a delicious salmon New Years dinner:
It was a fun weekend- and so much better than spending the new year in our quiet empty nester house. Thank you, Princes!

That looks like so much fun!!! The food looks delicious and how nice of the Princes to have you over. They are marvelous people!
Ken doesn't look too thrilled to be up past midnight ;) Looks like a fun party with delicious food. Michelle's in-laws are so nice to invite you to partay!
You had the craziest, most fun, (and probably loud in a good way) Christmas holiday ever! Your grandkids are absolutely adorable. Wish we could have stopped by like last year and seen you guys and the BD.:)
That IS a great way to welcome the new year! Daddy looks tireder than Jaron though. Do Princes do aebleskievers too?
New years wouldn't have felt like a holiday without you, especially since you brought the aebleskiver pan and expertise with you. :) Thank you SO so much for coming!!!
What a fun New Year's Eve! So glad you got to have such great times with your wonderful kids and grandkids!
I so wish I was at that party!!! Ours was not nearly as exciting... :)
How fun!! We did a fake countdown (Puerto Rico countdown) and went to bed early. I'm so lame!!
