A Special Weekend in Idaho

On the weekend of August 15t-17th, we traveled to Idaho Falls to attend the temple as Nathan and Brielle received their endowments in the Rexburg, Idaho temple.  It was such a sweet blessing to be there with them.  These are our two oldest grandchildren.

Nathan and Brielle

Jared, Kristen, Nathan, Brielle, Carolyn Mackrory, Mitch Mackrory, Me and Ken

After a delicious rib dinner prepared by Kristen and Jared, we attended a community children's theater production of Moana.  Audrey and Samuel starred in it.

After the play we came home to find Lisi crocheting.  She was chain stitching and had created quite a long rope.  Carolyn, her other grandma had taught her how.  Samuel went to get his impressive crochet kit to start a chain of his own.

The next morning we went to a 9:00am church, then to Kristen and Jared's for a delicious breakfast before we hit the road for home. You can see Lisi's chain is growing.

Their special breakfast is eggs benedict.  Yum!

This is their beautiful new home.

It was such a privilege to be there.  Thank you Mackrorys.

Someone Else's Shoes

Someone Else's ShoesSomeone Else's Shoes by Jojo Moyes
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

Modern Fiction Physical Book
I really liked this book. It was a cute story with good characters. I liked the changes we saw in those characters as they befriended and helped one another. A five-star read for me except for some language issues taking it down to 4.

William's Baptism Day

In their stake, baptisms are held on Sunday evenings.  William's was scheduled for 5:00pm.  We started the day with a delicious breakfast.

All ready for church.

Brian is the Primary music leader.  He had Michelle come in to help with a movement activity.  It was so beautiful.  I literally sat there and cried.

He had them get with a partner and do the movements as they sang.

Kenny and his best friend, Peter really had fun doing this twirl.

Brian and Michelle worked so hard into the night on Saturday(I helped for a while, then petered out) and on Sunday to prepare a delicious dinner.  Kalua pork, rice, lots of appetizers and salads and fruits and vegetables.  It was all delicious.  We all brought something to add as well.

It was a big family dinner with family from both sides.

I played the piano and Ken gave a talk on the Holy Ghost.  Shonna spoke on baptism.

All of the cousins in attendance sang "He Prepares a Way."

It was such a beautiful day, starting William on the covenant path.  How we love him!
